Hello - I'm Sue Kite and my breeding partner is Jeff Gillespie. I started in 1971 with my sister and Jeff and I have been associated since 1996 when he came to purchase his first Basenji. In 2001, we began our venture with then Klassic's Rooty Toot Toot, who became Ch. in both the US and Canada. She won the American National specialty two times and the Canadian National championship the same year as the lst national win. How exciting for us. She was the top brood bitch with 24 champion get and was ranked in the top 5 to qualify for Westminster and win best of opposite sex two years in a row. Her children and grandchildren have carried on for her in being #1 Basenji in the US (Ch. Klassic's Ms Mata Hauri) and #1 in the UK (Ch. Klassic's Million Dollar Baby at Tokaji) who also became top Hound and Top Brood bitch all breeds twice. Millie broke the CC record of 41 that had been in contention for many, many years - who'd have thought a little tri-colored bitch could take the world by storm - but to have two litter sister win best of breed at Westminster and Crufts two years in a row? Amazing.
